Genesis Chapter 1

We know that God created the heavens and the earth by the very first verse. Now you might be wondering how did God create the heavens and the earth. It very simple he spoke what he wanted to create and it was created. In Verse three is the first example of when God started to speak his creation. God created the heavens and the earth in six days. We know this because in chapter two verses one and two. In the ESV states, ThusGod finished his work that he had done, and he rested on the seventh day God finished his work that he had done, and he rested on the seventh day from all work that he had done.
  1. Day – Created the light from darkness
  2. Day – Created the water and heaven
  3. Day – Created earth, vegetation, plants yielding seed, fruit trees bearing fruit
  4. Day – Created two lights, Great light ruling the day (Sun), lighter light ruling the night (moon), stars, signs for seasons, days and years
  5. Day – created fish and birds
  6. Day – created livestock, creeping things, beast, man, and female
God created man in his own image. God created male and female. God told the man and female to be fruitful and multiply. God said that the man and female will have dominion over every animal of the air, land, and water. God allowed them to eat every beast and green plant food.
This is the six days of creation. God has done a great job for us. Looking at the heavens, the earth, and everything else that God has created it is amazing. Sometimes it hard to see everything that God created. God shows his true beauty even when it is storming. With the different storms, you really get to see Gods power.
